Here you are some pictures from the function that I studied in my introduction to Genetic Algorithms and Evolutionary Strategies.
The function is:
f(x,y) = 21.5 + x*sin(4*pi*c) + y*sin(20*pi*y)
It has a very spiky nature.
Here we have one picture of it:

The best value that I found so far it is around of 38.9 using an ES with some modifications that I made.
